Plants for desert

What are the best plants for growing in a desert?

The best plants for growing in a desert mostly belong to the cactus family Cactaceae. These plants have round stems that store a lot of water and hence this is the reason why many survivor experts use these plants as a source of water. These are usually called succulent plants in the general language. Non-succulent perennials such as Cistus albidus are also capable of escaping drought due to their hardy nature.
